Less fish and chips, more kale and kettlebells

Well hello there....

I’m Gemma. I’m a 35 year old living in Cardiff. I strive to live the healthy life but I struggle…like a lot of people.

I work full-time in a busy office job and I study part-time. So like you, my time is precious. I want to show you how you can make small lifestyle changes which will benefit you and help you feel better from the inside out.

I love the gym, I never used to but once I discovered weights I was hooked and I think fitness is all about making it work for you.

I’m currently undertaking a personal training qualification because I want to share some of those knowledge bombs with you!

My Story

When I was younger, I was the sporty one in my group of friends...which didn't say much because my friends were more nerdy than sporty. I was also super skinny, a bit like a bean pole, with a tendency to eat copious amounts of sugar.

Fast-forward to my 20's and I was a member of a gym (I was always a member of a gym) but my attendance was sporadic and I stuck to the cardio machines with the odd resistance machine thrown in for good luck. Excess weight crept on and it took me years to notice.

In my late twenties and early thirties, I discovered running but I was surprised that I didn't really lose weight or change body shape at all (although my legs were lovely and strong). Fast-forward to my mid-thirties and I swapped running for weightlifting. In lifting weights I have seen my body change and my confidence soar. It is the first time since my early teens that I have been consistent with exercise and I hope to help other people find what works for them.
